Cliff Rose, Prescott, AZ
Cliff Rose is a community northeast of downtown Prescott, west of Highway 89. Since its beginning in the early 1970’s, growth in Cliff Rose has been purposefully slow and steady as 20 or so new homes are added each year. Currently, there are approximately 375 homes here.
Cliff Rose is named for the native shrub, cliff rose, which still grows in many of the common areas. It is easy to identify in the spring and fall when it is covered with many tiny creamy-white sweet-smelling flowers.
Other native plants including pinon pines, juniper trees and scrub live oak grow in common areas as well as in residents’ yards.
